The Vikings Casinos Group, bought at the start of the year by the Novomatic Group, will operate the new casino license for Les Sables-d’Olonne with the gaming floor set to move to La Vannerie.
Launched by the municipality of Les Sables-d’Olonne (Vendée) last summer, the 20-year concession notice, which will begin on May 1, was won by the Vikings Casinos Group, the sole candidate for its successor, announced Yannick Moreau, the mayor of the municipality, during the municipal council meeting held on March 31.
Since 2016, the Normandy group has operated the Atlantes casino, located on the seafront. However, the premises, adjacent to the city’s convention center, are unsuitable for expanding the business.
