The San Francisco 49ers has claimed a National Football League first, after unveiling Mexico’s Foliatti Casino as its first casino partner as part of the NFL’s international commercial programme.
The league allowed its teams to sell sponsorships to casinos domestically in 2018, but the Foliatti Casino deal is thought to the first to be sold outside the US since the NFL allocated ‘International Home Marketing Areas’ (IHMA) for franchises to exploit in 2021.
The 49ers said the collaboration “marks the first of its kind across the league”…
The new agreement applies to the Grupo Cecom-owned Foliatti Casino bricks-and-mortar casinos, which operate in the cities of Monterrey, Guadalajara and the State of Mexico.
