With a vote of four to one, Escambia County Commissioners approved an ordinance change that will allow Pensacola Greyhound Track and Poker Room to open its cardroom in a new location.
Poarch Creek Indian Tribe’s PCI Gaming Authority, which owns and operates the gaming facility as Pensacola Greyhound Racing LLP, has been seeking a land use certificate from Escambia County confirming that pari-mutuel gaming is allowed at 2490 Interstate Circle.
The organization has the property in Northwest Pensacola under contract and it’s where they’d like to relocate. Currently, the Pensacola Greyhound Track and Poker Room operates in Southwest Pensacola at 951 Dog Track Road.
