The world’s fastest sport returned to The Casino at Dania Beach Jai Alai Fronton Feb. 3, and if the conclusion of the Fall Challenge is any indication of what lies ahead, the spectators will be treated to a new winter season filled with thrills and betting excitement. Dania Beach has hosted jai alai for the last 60 years.
The game originated in Spain and France and is still popular in that region. Many Spanish and French players make their way over to play in the frontons in South Florida. Spectators can watch and bet on live matches as some of the world’s top players catch the pelotas traveling at close to 200 mph with their woven cestas.
