Brazil’s Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, has made changes to the government oversight of the gambling industry.
An ordinance published in the Gazette of the Union (DOU) reassigned Executive Commission Functions (FCE) and Executive Commission Positions (CCE) within the domain of the Ministry of Tax authorities.
In detail, two Technical Assistant Positions were reassigned to the Prizes and Betting Secretariat (SPA), Brazil’s betting regulator established under legislation approved earlier this year.
The reassignments will see a Technical Assistant Position move from the General Regulation Coordination to the SPA Office; and a Technical Assistant Position also join the General Coordination of Responsible Gambling Monitoring of the Undersecretary of Monitoring and Inspection of the SPA.
