Disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein didn’t know a weekend trip to Las Vegas in the summer of 2013 would be a surprise celebration.

“This is a belated birthday gift!” Epstein assistant Lesley Groff wrote in an email to a Caesars Entertainment guest services director. “(Shhhhh 60)!!!”

The Strip resort manager was instrumental in organizing Epstein and his group’s itinerary: booking six hotel rooms, a dinner reservation at Nobu, and securing show and convention tickets.

She even offered a meet-and-greet with Rod Stewart, who was performing at The Colosseum Theater, but the group declined to meet him due to time constraints.
