Police have arrested a Bankers Casino employee suspected of stealing over $95,000 in cash from the casino on Sunday.
Salinas police served a search warrant Wednesday at the home of Jesus Arellano, 35, and found $65,000 in cash along with several items they believe were recently purchased with money stolen from the casino.
The theft happened at around 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 2. At the time, police said a man, who they now believe is Arellano, entered the casino through the main doors and went directly to the cash location. He loaded the money into his backpack before casually walking out of the establishment with the cash, police said.
