The online casino market has experienced recent growth in Denmark, with the latest figures for gambling spend in April having been announced.
The overall gambling revenue has increased 11.6% year-on-year, with the figure totaling DKK665 million (roughly $103 million) as reported in the latest monthly statistics.
As for a monthly comparison, compared to April in the previous year, revenue this year was ahead by DKK596 million (around $91.6 million).
The regulator Spillemyndigheden released the information, stating that Danes spent more money on gambling in April, with online casino and betting seeing a growth in spending. The authority sits under the Danish Ministry of Taxation and is responsible for a well-regulated gambling market in the Scandinavian country.
