Construction has officially started on Arizona’s fifth Desert Diamond Casino, a venture of the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, located near Loop 303 and Northern Parkway near west Glendale.
The $450 million project, which is about 10 miles from the Desert Diamond Casino-West Valley location, will take about 19 months to complete, officials said. That puts the opening date sometime near the end of 2024 for the first phase.
Here’s what the first phase will include:
- 184,000-square foot casino floor
- 900 slot machines
- 30 table games, including blackjack, craps, roulette and baccarat
- A 12-table poker room
- Sportsbook
- A fine dining restaurant
- A casual restaurant
- A four-venue food hall
