When season 23 of “Hell’s Kitchen” premiers on Fox tonight, Gordon Ramsay will be one of its stars, but Connecticut itself also gets its time in the spotlight, according to executive producer Arthur Smith.

“There’s no doubt that we’re going to increase travel to Connecticut,” he said in August, meaning the show and restaurant will be a tourism draw for the state.

Over the summer, seasons 23 and 24 of “Hell’s Kitchen” were filmed at Foxwoods Resort Casino, which Smith called “an amazing host.” This season’s theme is “head chefs only,” and the winner will become the head chef at the Foxwoods location of Ramsay’s Hell’s Kitchen restaurant.
