Arrest papers for the man accused of stealing more than $76,000 from a casino in Cripple Creek seem to imply it was not his first theft attempt at that same casino, alleging that employees told police he jumped the cashier cage counter “just like last time.”

26-year-old Andrew Joel Irvine of Colorado Springs, was arrested on Monday in connection with the theft of $76,800 from J. P. McGill’s Casino.

According to the arrest affidavit, surveillance footage at the casino showed a man police identified as Irvine arrive at the casino unmasked just after 4 a.m., went upstairs, looked around the hallway leading to the cashier cage, and then went back outside.
