The La Mamounia Hotel, Morocco’s oldest and most iconic luxury hotel, has agreed to sell 50% of its casino to the Spanish-listed company CIRSA, according to Iberian media reports. The move is part of the Spanish company’s broad strategy to grow through acquisitions while maintaining financial stability.
The group is a multinational gaming and entertainment company with casinos, bingo, slot machines, and online betting in 11 countries.
The company said that the acquisition will not have a significant impact on its debt, especially since the integration is likely to increase.
It also emphasized that the deal will not impact any jobs, and all employees will keep their current positions despite the new shareholder’s entry.
