A major expansion is in store at Yreka’s Rain Rock Casino, including a 43,000-square-foot hotel with 80 rooms and 12 cottages; more casino space for slot machines and table games; an events center; and a 15,000-square-foot garden area with a pool, hot tubs and waterfalls.
The expansion will make Rain Rock “a true destination resort,” casino general manager Mike Rose told the Yreka City Council on Tuesday. It should benefit the community economically, Rose added, because they expect to hire an additional 50 to 60 people.
