The Vallejo City Council got an update on the proposed $700 million Scotts Valley Casino Tuesday night and directed city staff to negotiate an agreement to provide services to tribal offices in the city.

The Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians is proposing to build a casino would take up 160 acres of land and include the construction of 24 single-family residences, a tribal administration building, parking garage and a 45-acre biological preserve area located within and adjacent to the city boundary in Solano County, near the intersection of Interstate 80 and Highway 37. However, the agreement – technically a memorandum of understanding – only concerns the tribe’s offices currently under construction on tribal trust land at 200 Columbus Parkway, not the casino.
