California: Black Oak Casino Resort to offer free hotel rooms to wildfire evacuees

A casino in Tuolumne County is offering shelter to residents ordered to evacuate because of the 6-5 Fire in Chinese Camp.

Black Oak Casino Resort in the community of Tuolumne announced on Tuesday evening that it is offering free hotel rooms to anyone under a mandatory fire evacuation.

“Simply show your valid California ID from an affected evacuation zone, and our team will assist you right away,” the casino said. “We also want to take a moment to thank the hardworking firefighters and first responders who are putting their lives on the line to keep our community safe.
