Valets at Ocean Casino Resort have voted to join Teamsters Local 331, the union said Wednesday.
“I want to welcome our newest members to Local 331 and applaud their decision to organize with the Teamsters and fight for what they deserve,” said Marcus King, president of Local 331. “This is a fantastic organizing victory, and we look forward to helping this group secure an excellent first contract that reflects their hard work.”
Ocean management declined to comment on the announcement.
The 52 valets organized with the Teamsters to have a voice at work and to secure higher wages, better benefits, improved job security and fair working conditions, the union said in a news release.
