The city’s casinos are donating 1,200 turkeys to the needy for Thanksgiving as part of their campaign against hunger.
The Casino Association of New Jersey is giving the items to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s annual turkey drive.
The turkeys are being donated from Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, Caesars Atlantic City, Golden Nugget Atlantic City, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, Ocean Casino Resort and Resorts Casino Hotel. They are being delivered this week.
“Food insecurity affects far too many families in our state,” said Mark Giannantonio, president of the casino association and of Resorts. “Our casinos are proud to support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey’s Turkey Drive to ensure that families can enjoy Thanksgiving meals together.”
