The Finnish joint venture between Suomen Hippos and Swedish gaming operator ATG has appointed its first two senior executives, as the company prepares to enter Finland’s evolving gambling market.
Hippos ATG Oy welcomed Joonas Saha as chief commercial officer and Antti Koivula as chief compliance officer, bringing the fledgling operation’s headcount to three permanent staff members.
The strategic hires come as the operator seeks to position itself as a serious player in the liberalising Finnish market before the 2027 regulated sector launch.
Mikael Bäcke, the JV’s chief executive, said: “We are very pleased that Joonas Saha and Antti Koivula are joining our new company in Finland.”
