Arizona sportsbooks hit a new monthly high in revenue in December despite reporting a month-over-month decline in sports betting handle (total bets).

In December, the Arizona gaming regulator reported that gross sports betting receipts reached $693.31 million. Of that total:

  • Retail locations collected: $6.45 million
    Online sportsbooks generated: $685.10 million

The amount of money gambled represents a 2.81% monthly drop from the previous record of $713.59 million that Arizona put down on sports bets during November 2023. December handle is also a 21.10% annual increase.

Arizona is the last state to report sports gambling figures. While Arizona just released December retail and online gambling figures, several other states are about to reveal February numbers.
