Golden shovels were in the ground to mark the official ground-breaking on a project 30 years in the making.

“I am grateful for today,” said Louis Bull Tribe Chief Desmond Bull. “This has been a long time coming.”

Bull was talking about the application and approval process that will see the Bear Hills Casino and Travel Resort finally break ground, with an opening planned for December 2023.

The casino and travel resort will have a number of features and amenities, including a restaurant/lounge, and separate gas station, complete with two electric vehicle charging stations.
