Agua Caliente Casino Rancho Mirage is expanding its gaming space. With a new 12,000 square feet area, the casino will add dozens of new games to the floor and, once opened, will have 89,000 square feet of space.

The move comes as the casino approaches its 30th anniversary. Opened in 1995 in Palm Springs, it was one of the first to appear in California after the state allowed tribal gaming.

It’s owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, who have lived in the region dating back thousands of years. It also owns Agua Caliente Palm Springs. In 2020, it opened a location in Cathedral City, making it one of the only tribes in California to own more than one casino.

For those in the area, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will happen Monday, April 21, from 11 am.
