Authorities are investigating a shooting Thursday morning at a hotel-casino in North Las Vegas that left one person dead.
According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the killing occurred at Aliante early Thursday morning.
“Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are currently processing the scene, and the investigation is in its early stages,” police said in an email.
By 8:00 a.m., yellow police tape had been placed inside the property to block off the gaming floor near the cashier’s box. Meanwhile, Carol Foronda stood outside a side entrance. She said she comes to the Aliante daily to gamble with her family, and when she left around 1:00 a.m., everything was quiet.
