Mattress Mack lost $4.7 million in six days betting on football.

On Jan. 10, Houston furniture store owner Jim McIngvale, aka “Mattress Mack,” lost $2.7 million in money-line wagers on Alabama when the Crimson Tide lost 33-18 to Georgia in the College Football Playoff national title game.

On Saturday, Mack lost $2 million in futures bets on the Patriots to win the Super Bowl when New England was whipped 47-17 by the Buffalo Bills in their AFC wild-card playoff game.

Mack, who placed the bets on Alabama at Caesars Sportsbook and the wagers on the Patriots at Barstool Sportsbook and theScore Bet, said Monday that he took the losses in stride.
