Betr, the sports betting platform co-founded by social media star Jake Paul, has hired a new Head of Marketing – Alex Kuwada, who joins the firm after six years at FanDuel.

Kuwada will focus on user acquisition and retention strategies and report directly to CEO Joey Levy.

Kuwada served in several roles during his time with the Flutter-owned betting company, including his most recent role as Senior Director of Acquisition. His other roles included Growth Director, Head of Media Operations and Digital Manager.

Jesse Chemtob, who served as Interim Head of Marketing, will transition to Interim Head of Commercial. Chemtob also previously worked for FanDuel. In his roles as General Manager & Vice President of Growth & Scaling and General Manager & Vice President of Casino, he helped grow the FanDuel Casino. His new role will involve overseeing commercial operations, including profit and loss optimization. He will also continue to collaborate with the marketing team.

Founded in 2022, Betr continues to expand its product offerings. This summer, it introduced “Group Mode” to its Betr Picks fantasy sports platform. The feature allows users to compete against one another and has enabled the platform to spread to serve 65 percent of the U.S. market.
