The Detroit Tigers are the latest team to join BetMGM’s growing list of partners.
A day after the sports betting operator struck an agreement with broadcast network Audacy, BetMGM Wednesday announced a partnership deal with the Tigers.
“From day one, it’s been a priority for us to develop deep relationships with Michigan’s beloved sports teams,” said BetMGM’s chief revenue officer Matt Prevost Wednesday in a statement. “We look forward to our partnership with the Detroit Tigers and engaging with their fan base to offer best-in-class promotions and benefits only available on BetMGM.”
BetMGM currently operates online sports betting and online poker in Michigan.
The sponsorship deal includes BetMGM branding on scoreboards at the Tigers’ Comerica Park and the stadium’s LED pitch speed monitor. There also will be integrated social media content, BetMGM branding on the MLB Ballpark app, and fan-oriented promotions.
“Our fans will enjoy the enhancements this partnership provides to their experience, both at the ballpark and in rooting on the Tigers from home,” said Peter Kent, Tigers’ senior vice president of Corporate Partnerships, in a statement.
MGM Resorts, BetMGM’s parent company, is an official gaming partner of Major League Baseball. It also operates the MGM Grand Detroit.
“MGM Grand Detroit is ready to welcome Tigers and sports betting fans to our BetMGM Sports Lounge before, during, and after games for an innovative and exciting experience,” said David Tsai, president, Midwest Group, MGM Resorts
