igaming and sports betting operator BetMGM says a player from Southfield, Mich., won a $1 million prize while playing on the Bison Fury progressive jackpot slot.
The lucky player who triggered the jackpot while playing online in April, placing a bet of just 40 cents, chose to remain anonymous and said that they plan to spend some of the money on a new house.
“BetMGM congratulates the recent winners at Borgata Online and BetMGM on their big jackpots,” said Angus Nisbet, BetMGM vice president of gaming. “We love making moments like this even more memorable through our new jackpot program.”
In 2023, the BetMGM casino platform paid out more than $138 million in progressive jackpot winnings, a 32 percent increase from the previous year. More than half of the prize totals were won on BetMGM exclusive titles, including Bison Fury and MGM Grand Million Megaways.
The announcement follows another recent jackpot win when a player from Pittsburgh, Penn., won during her lunch break $525,725 while playing on MGM Grand Million Megaways.
