BetMGM, the online gaming and sports betting arm of MGM Resorts International, announced its biggest progressive prize pool, with the in-house BetMGM jackpot hitting the $4 million mark, a record for the operator’s exclusive network.
The BetMGM network links to a series of in-house games, including MGM Grand Millions, MGM Grand Millions High Roller, Loot’en Khamun: Dead Sea Scrolls and Mirage Mega Magma. All network games are exclusive titles produced by Entain, co-owner of the BetMGM brand and one of Europe’s largest gaming companies, owning brands like Ladbrokes, Gala Coral and Bwin.
While the games are available in each state where BetMGM operates, each has its own prize pool. New Jersey tipped “The Big One,” as the network was named by the operator, over the $4 million threshold.
The jackpot record follows a record-breaking year of online payouts for BetMGM. In January, the operator said it awarded more than $138 million in progressive jackpot payouts throughout 2023, a 32 percent increase over the previous year.
Slots sharing “The Big One” jackpot network constituted more than half of these winnings, including $1.1 million and $1.3 million payouts on Michigan’s MGM Grand Millions. New Jersey residents also won some impressive prizes, with a $2.8 million payout on the same machine and a $3 million win on Bison Fury. Of the $138 million awarded, Pennsylvania bettors took home more than $34 million.
“BetMGM is anticipating the momentous occasion in our history when we can award the biggest jackpot,” says BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost, adding that the record-breaking prize pool is further evidence of BetMGM’s commitment to providing “best-in-class games.”
“The performance of our exclusive, in-house-produced games shows these titles are resonating with players and solidifies BetMGM as the destination for progressive jackpots,” added Angus Nisbet, vice president of gaming.
