Aruze Gaming Tuesday announced the departure of President Rob Ziems.

Ziems worked at Aruze for 12 years, serving as president since 2020. He also served as global chief legal officer and corporate secretary, board of directors, for the Las Vegas-based developer for the global casino market.

At last October’s Global Gaming Expo, Ziems was actively promoting two new active play products, Go Go Claw, similar to the claw games found in arcades, and Rock, Paper, Scissors, a casino version of the playground game kids use to settle disputes.

“I think operators, because we’re so innovative, they look to us to provide them with a differentiator,” Ziems told CDC Gaming at G2E “It’s an interesting relationship with operators. They get excited to see what we’re providing, and I think we do a pretty good job of providing operators with things they didn’t know they wanted, but they’re really happy to get.”

Aruze Gaming Global CEO Yugo Kinoshita will take on the day-to-day responsibilities for the company until a new president is selected for the U.S. branch. The transition takes effect March 1, 2023.

In January, Aruze announced it will open its first European office in the Netherlands to serve as a base for sales and support in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
