Fans will soon be able to play Wheel of Fortune at home without waiting for Vanna White to unveil letters or an endless series of commercials.
Arcade1Up, the home arcade machine developer, Wednesday announced the release of Wheel of Fortune Casinocade Deluxe, an arcade-style game that features four slot game versions of Wheel of Fortune, along with more than 20 casino-style and arcade games. The games are free to play after purchasing the machine and do not feature real money gambling.
Wheel of Fortune Casinocade Deluxe will be introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show, Jan. 5-8, in Las Vegas.
“We are thrilled to be in Las Vegas for CES and announcing a new line of innovative retro home entertainment products,” said Arcade1Up CEO Scott Bacharach in a statement. “Our goal with these new releases is to continue to find ways to streamline and innovate while also adding modern touches like wifi connectivity and online gameplay. We want to make classic retro games accessible and affordable to everyone while staying as true as possible to the authentic arcade gaming experience we all know and remember.”
Wheel of Fortune Casinocade Deluxe features dual LCD screens and speakers, a light-up marquee, and flashing lights and buttons that the company says mimics the experience on a casino floor. Wifi leaderboards enable players to post scores and compete with others. The game is scheduled for release in late spring/summer of 2023.
