Last week Anaxi, Aristocrat’s igaming division, announced the launch of Mobile on-Premise for Tribal gaming operators of the Chickasaw Nation. The new technology enables casino guests on trust lands to be able to connect to Aristocrat Class II gaming content via mobile devices.
According to Anaxi VP iGaming Strategic Partnerships & Operations Mohsen Ghazizadeh, the genesis of Mobile on-Premise started during COVID-19 restrictions.
“Since patrons were either not able to visit casinos to play slot machines or not as many slot machines were available to guests due to social distancing, we knew there was value in the idea of creating a solution that allowed patrons to play the games they were missing on their devices,” Ghazizadeh told CDC Gaming via email. “Along the way, we further realized that the potential for this application was far greater than what it was originally intended for.”
Available to patrons of WinStar Casino, Mobile on-Premise benefited from Anaxi’s partners at Chickasaw Nation having the same objectives and goals.
“Without this level of collaboration and commitment on both sides, it would have been very difficult to pull off such a complex and massive project,” Ghazizadeh said.
The Mobile on-Premise solution currently features three of Aristocrat’s Class II titles: Mr. Money Bags, Polar High Roller, and Hot Red Ruby. Ghazizadeh noted that additional titles are slated for future release, as are additional gaming opportunities.
Ghazizadeh said because Mobile on-Premise is a unique product, Anaxi, and the Chickasaw Nation had to work closely with regulators to explain how it works.
“We even had to work on assisting the regulators with augmenting and amending the regulations to even allow for such applications,” he said. “There was a continuous and parallel effort between the team and regulators in the development of this product until the end. To best navigate and quickly respond to regulatory inquiries, we leveraged our close collaborative relationship with Chickasaw Nation’s project sponsors. Without the close collaborative work between Anaxi and Chickasaw Nation’s project sponsors, these efforts would have been much harder to accomplish.”
Response to the launch of Mobile on-Premise has been promising.
“It’s still in its infancy, first few days, so we are still assessing the user experience, but we’re pleased with the response so far,” Ghazizadeh said. “I will say, the game interface and design have been a big focus for us, as we tried to ensure that our mobile Class II titles are as close to the look and feel of their floor counterparts — we want to offer an authentic and familiar experience. We’re very proud of the outcome, and the initial player feedback has been very encouraging and positive.
