Some slot machines feature graphics so small they seem more like industrial machines than gaming devices.

Then there’s Ainsworth Technology’s line of slot games. At the recent Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention in Anaheim, California, Senior Manager of Product Strategy Erin Stefanowicz said the game developer’s new product line is meant to stand out on gaming floors.

Put it this way: You can’t walk by an Ainsworth Technology game without taking notice. The cabinets seem bigger and the graphics are noticeable from 20-30 feet away.

“We’ve been working really hard to make sure we’re getting the right wording, so that people can understand what we’re trying to do here (with slot machines),” Stefanowicz said.

Ainsworth plans to release new games throughout 2022. One slot soon to be released is Cash Attack, a star-curve XL that should be out in the next few months.

“It’s going to be a fixed ten lines,” Stefanowicz said. “It has a feature with a bit of persistence, so as the game is being played, you’re going to see these little things and they’re not just random. Players have something to look for more than just on that standard three-reel type of game.”

One of the elements the new Ainsworth slot machines feature is a variety of ways to win. Grand Legacy, Royal Legacy and Thunder Cash/Eagle Bucks, all scheduled for release later this year, are multi-faceted games that provide more opportunities to cash in.

“The variety of wins is exciting for players,” Stefanowicz says, noting the larger displays are meant to distinguish Ainsworth’s games from competitors. “It’s something different and should be fun for them. And the fact that they’re big, that’s a cool feature.”

The Thunder Cash/Eagle Bucks games are based on Ainsworth’s high-denomination games of the same names, according to Stefanowicz.

“You’ll see the standard play mechanics; you’ll see the Thunder Cash symbol,” Stefanowicz said. “In free games, you’ll see the third reel sticking wild there.”

Also coming soon are the Grand Legacy and Royal Legacy, nine-line, 45 credit-max, three-reel machines.

“What’s really cool about Royal Legacy and Grand Legacy is they can win three times the progressives,” Stefanowicz said, noting the new angled slant of the screen. “There’s a bit of the chase that should be super fun.”

Blazin Hot Lucky Stars/Emperor’s Lucky Stars, already out and available at various casinos, were also featured at the tradeshow.

Stefanowicz formerly worked as a slot-data analyst before starting as senior manager of product strategy for Ainsworth seven months ago. A graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia, she’s come to enjoy the behind-the-scenes details and intricacies of gaming devices.

“I think this is the greatest (job),” Stefanowicz said. “I love slot machines. I love the entertainment factor and I love talking about them and learning more about them. It’s honestly the funnest line of work ever.”
