The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Wednesday announced it is changing its structure and operations, including the designation of a president and chief executive officer and an elected board of directors.
A release stated that the “more traditional structure will better serve the interests of AGEM and its members within the global gaming-supplier sector and fully align the terms of the leadership team with the organization’s financial year.”
AGEM will be led by President & CEO Daron Dorsey, who will be fully responsible for day-to-day management of AGEM operations, affairs, initiatives, and professionals.
In the new role, Dorsey will collaborate and work with AGEM’s elected chair and board of directors for the interests of the organization’s membership, while maintaining governance and oversight structure.
Robert Parente, Light & Wonder Executive Vice President and Chief Business Development Officer, will complete his current term as chair of the AGEM Board of Directors and work to continue governance oversight of AGEM plans and priorities.
“We believe this structure will serve AGEM members and the supplier sector well,” said Parente in a statement. “Daron was brought in to help build on the AGEM foundation and pursue new initiatives to advocate for our supplier-industry interests in various forms. His background and executive experience will be important as we embark on this natural progression for AGEM as the trade association for the global gaming supplier community.”
Parente added that AGEM is developing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives to expand its board’s composition and maximize the best gaming industry talent.
The AGEM Board of Directors will continue serving current terms that conclude on March 31, 2025:
- Parente, Chair
- Thomas Jingoli, Secretary, Konami Gaming Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
- Ryan Comstock, Treasurer, Ainsworth Game Techology Chief Operating Officer
- Elaine Hodgson, Incredible Technologies President and CEO
- Luke Orchard, IGT SVP Chief Compliance and Risk Management Officer
