AGEM Index decreases 4.0 percent in December

The AGEM Index fell by 75.93 points to 1,831.68 in December 2025, a 4.0 percent decrease from the prior month. Compared to one year ago, the Index rose 17.1 percent, or 266.86 points. During the latest month, seven of the 10 Index companies reported stock price decreases, which pulled its value down, despite positive contributions by three companies.

The largest negative contributor was Konami Corp., whose 10.5 percent decrease in stock price led to a 64.20-point loss to the Index. Crane NXT’s stock price decreased by 16.4 percent, leading to a 14.12-point decrease.

The largest positive contributor was Light & Wonder Inc., whose 3.0 percent increase in stock price resulted in an 8.01-point gain to the AGEM Index.

In December, two of the three major U.S. stock indices decreased from the prior month. The NASDAQ fell by 0.5 percent over the month and the S&P 500 experienced a 0.1 percent decrease. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 0.7 percent from the prior period.
