Ohio: Owners of Barstool Sportsbook, Football HOF Village, apply for licenses

The applications keep rolling in for Ohio sports betting licenses.

Among those that have now submitted applications for wagering-related permits are Penn Sports Interactive LLC – a digital arm of Barstool Sportsbook-owner Penn National Gaming Inc. – and HOF Village Newco LLC, a subsidiary of Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company, which owns the Hall of Fame Village in Canton.

Penn applied for a mobile management services provider license on June 30, according to the list maintained by the Ohio Casino Control Commission. While the partner to which Penn would provide those services is not yet given, it’s likely the license would be linked to a Penn property, as the casino operator has several in the state.
