Three years after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Las Vegas is operating much as it had in 2019. Bars and restaurants are open, masking is a thing of the past, and tourists are back in casinos – with visitor volume in March down just 1% from the same month in 2019.
But one pandemic-era policy still hangs over the city’s tourism industry: 2020’s Senate Bill 4, which in part requires Las Vegas and Reno resorts and hotels to clean rooms daily.
It may not be around much longer.
Nevada lawmakers are considering a bill that would repeal the provision in SB4 that requires daily housekeeping in resorts and hotels.
