[Monday’s] Prince George City Council meeting covers quite a few liquor license and patio topics, and one of the larger ones is the expansion that Treasure Cove Casino is hoping to see.

The casino is hoping to extend liquor service times from 11 AM until 2 AM, Monday through Sunday, and it’s also looking to increase the occupancy load from 2016 to 3004 by including the bingo area and upper mezzanine.

Administration for the City recommends approving the application and forwarding it to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch.

Richard Duval, the Director for the Van Bien Community Association, also attached a letter in support of the application, noting that he doesn’t believe there will be a negative impact to the community.
